Celebrate Earth Day!

We celebrated Earth Day early since we will be on vacation.

We started the day by rocking out to Jack Johnson's 3 R's song. The song is about reducing, reusing, and recycling.

We had a lot of fun.

Then some of us decided to make posters about Earth Day.

Have a Happy Earth Day (April 22nd)!

Spring has Sprung!

The class enjoyed the beautiful weather on Tuesday and observed the plants and trees around the school.

Some plants had flowers and flower buds...

Some had leaf buds and seeds.

We took lots of notes in the children's garden as well. We noticed that some of the plants had been eaten by deer.

Rainforest Researchers Visit 5th Grades

Three of our students went to the 5th grade classes to share their research and knowledge about the tropical rainforests in South America.

They did a fantastic job and everyone was impressed.

Nonfiction Research Takes Over the Room

We have been busy reading nonfiction, taking notes, and displaying our knowledge.

There is so much to share that it is now taking over the whole side of the room.

Our scholars have researched things that interest them such as hurricanes, wildlife, tornadoes, and outer space.
