Rockland Read In Day and Pigeon Party a Great Success

Our day began with reading, and then we read, and then we read some more, and then we... well you get the idea.

Then Mrs. Hoberman read a book to us... The Bully from the Black Lagoon.

Dylan, a second-grader, came to read to us too. He is paricularly fond of Pigeon and Mo Willems books so he read Pigeon Wants a Hot Dog.

Then Mrs. Rubin-Richards read us her favorite book, Bread and Jam for Francis.

Mrs. May sang us a book about "My Darlin' Valentine." We don't think you were out of tune at all Mrs. May!

Mr. Leach stopped by and read to us a book about a "Big Fat Lie" that one little boy told and how his lie kept growing bigger and bigger until he told the truth. Thankfully the Lie disappeared once he confessed.

Then it was time for the Pigeon Party!

Pin the eyeball on Pigeon anyone?

Parents got to spend time reading too!

Some of us went on www.pigeonpresents.com.

We also read Elephant and Piggie books- Pigeon was a little jealous.

We spent time teaching our parents how to draw Pigeon.

We even had special guests! Mrs. Roberts (Kristopher's neighbor) my very own teacher came by for a visit and to celebrate with the class. Thank you Mrs. Roberts for the Elephant and Piggie book!!!!
