We are authors!

There is excitment in the air as the class creates our very first published book in first grade.

We get to use our colored pencils to draw the pages that are typed.

Once we are done we will have a big author celebration.

We cannot wait to read everyone's books.

The School Year has Begun!

We are off to a great start. Lately we have been talking about the Olympics and China.


Our student teacher Ms. Weinberger read a book to us called Cleversticks. We learned that everyone is good at something. Sometimes things are tough the first time we try something but can all do well. We learned to use chopsticks like the main character Ling Sung.



It definitely was not easy at first!

The best part was that we got to eat popcorn with chopsticks!
